2 seasons just started up in leagues at nhl94online.com. If you're interested in playing, you can still register on the website and be placed on the waiting list. Then, if other coaches can't play, it's possible we'll need to replace them, so keep practicing!

I know it's been a long time and way over due, but the site code has been updated to be more current and mobile friendly. This was a simple conversion to a more functional site, but I'll be looking for feedback as to what we can do to spice things up around here. Also, please post in the forums if you notice any major issues.
More importantly, there's been an amazing development in that Mikey McBryan is working on a documentary about the one and only NHL'94! His website for the project is located at: http://www.pixelatedheroes.net/
He's been traveling all over interviewing members of the forum (including myself), people in the media, and even the man himself Mark Lesser. There's an entire forum section dedicated to this awesome project.

Fall Classic league has begun. Each team's 40 game schedule can be accessed on nhl94online.com from the left navigation bar found on most of the site's pages. Make sure that Classic '94-2014 Fall is selected from the League Selection drop down, then choose your league level in the left nav bar (GENS-A, GENS-B, or SNES). Click on the team name to view the schedule. It is important to read this thread as it contains all the information you need to know about the league. League checkpoints will be listed on the right side of the main page.

Please see the following threads on nhl94.com for the Fall Classic Season Team Drafts:
Fall Classic Registration ended on October 4th. Any coaches who missed the registration window, or those who registered but still have yet to play a test game, will be put on the Waiting List and have the opportunity to be used as a replacement coach throughout the season. A confrimed test game is still required to be eligible as a replacement coach, so please post in the forums for assistance.

Registration has now begun for the 2014 Fall Classic '94 League. Registration will last for 2 weeks, ending on October 4th. This is an online league, using the original NHL '94 ROMs, for both systems (Genesis and SNES). You can choose either a 40 game season that will span 6 weeks, and ends with a playoff to decide the league champion. The league is divided by skill level, normally with 12-14 coaches per league. All new and veteran coaches are welcome to join. This season, a Team Selection Draft will be held after registration is over to select teams instead of the method that has been used in the past. You can join by filling out the Registration form here.
Please read this post for more details.

2 leagues have just started up on NHL94online.com, one with a long history and one with a fresh new idea!
Genesis Draft League XI, a league using the original '94 ROM, holds a draft before every season. It takes a 56 game season to determine who makes it to the playoffs. This is one of the most storied online leagues in '94 history, bringing the best players around to face off in a 24-team league. Can the 2-time champion Swos win back-to-back championships? You can read more about the league and its history in the GDL forum.
NHL '94 Gentlemen's Club is a new league with only 8 coaches, where the original '94 ROM is used. Coaches chose teams in the beginning of the season, and play through most of the season using the original rosters. There is a new twist though; a little over half the season through, there will be a trade intermission when a brief draft will be held to pick up some free agents from unused teams, and trading amongst coaches will be allowed as well. This could help some teams pick up some more firepower to help propel them into the playoffs, or fill in big holes in their defense. For more information, you can check out the thread here.

Play a lot of exhibition games? Check out Sea-Hag.net. Forum Member marchawg runs the site and it is free to sign up. You create an account, play the game, log the save state, and can view game summaries, team records, and user records. It's a great way to keep track of what teams you play well with and what teams you should steer away from when you are about to join a league. The link to the site can also be found under the "Online Gaming" tab on the nav bar.

For those fans of NHL '93, check out the NHLPA '93 website. Forum member clockwise put a lot of work into this site, and there is some great information about the game there. You can also download RayGun's new NHLPA '93-2013 updated ROM from the front page. RayGun made some great additions to the ROM, along with updated rosters. You can also access the '93 site under "Other Links" on the navigation bar.

» April 22nd, 2006The nhl94online.com Gens/Snes league is moving along nicely. Again, thanks to everyone playing. We're currently looking for ideas, brainstorms for the video highlights and records sections of the the website. You can view the thread here.
There is another online league currently going on at http://www.nhl94.net/.

» December 1st, 2005I just wanted to restate if NHL94 online players are having problems connecting to the kaillera servers, they should try the kailleraclient.dll below. There seems to be some problems with that again.
» September 26th, 2005For NHL94 online players. There's a kailleraclient.dll that was created by Anti3d.com which allows you to view the servers when connecting to kaillera through Gens, Gens Plus, Snes9k, and other emulators. You can goto the downloads page or download here. Simply extract this zip file into your emulator of choice's folder, and you should see the kaillera server list again.
» September 23rd, 2005NHL94 online leagues are forming now for both Genesis and SNES players. If you are interested in joining, please visit nhl94online.com. We're looking to start around October 5th.
» September 12th, 2005I just wanted to update the community with what's new and upcoming.
The downloads page has been updated with a couple new apps and a music midi file courtesy of Wboy.
We will be having an online '94 league at http://nhl94online.com. I'll have more about it soon, with links and information. Stay tuned.
The records section of the website is up, but we're still working on the backend of it, making it easier to update. I'll let everyone know when it's fully functional, but continue to email me those records. They will eventually be up!
» August 2nd, 2005We (Jacob and I) have updated the records section of the website. Please start sending me those screenshots of any records, I will use your forum nickname or whatever you ask in an email as your record holder name. You can send video as well, just remember all records are with the original game/rom only. Send all records to: firstname.lastname@example.org
I have also updated the editing bin pages with a couple of finds Wboy has researched over the past couple months.
» June 12th , 2005Just wanted to briefly update this area since it's been awhile. The new records page is coming along, should be up soon. It will contain many records that I hope people become involved in.
Also, I should have an NHL94 online game server up soon. More on that when it's up.
I had some bad luck with the hard drive that contained all of my nhl94 videos and screenshots. It's corrupt and I lost all the data. I will be rebuilding my video and screenshot library in the time to come.
» April 18th , 2005There is a new video on the videos page. I am hoping to have the new records page up sometime within a month from this entry.
Thanks for all the record images and videos everyone has sent me so far. Keep them coming!
» March 8th , 2005The forum is now up and running. I will be making weekly backups of the database in case we have any future problems.
» February 22nd, 2005I have updated the editing page with a section on how to edit the period lengths. This also includes how to edit the overtime length, and some generic period lengths you may want to try out.
I am also looking to get a comprehensive records page up sometime in the near future, so email me those screenshots and/or videos of your crazy records. Anything goes!
» January 24th, 2005You can find the FTP info for NHL94 files by going to the forum and going into the NHL94 General Talk forum. You will need an FTP program like WS FTP to log into the FTP site.
I have added an Ice Logo Tutorial on the Game Editing page. Check out the tutorial here.
I've added a video on the videos page. It's a cool goal Alison scores on a Lebeau onetimer.
Don't forget to check the messageboard for lots of information, editing news, and more. Also, don't forget to check out Ron Barr's Quotes page!
» January 16th, 2005I started adding more information on the game editing page. I'm going to keep on trying to add information on that page as well as an FTP site for useful files. I'll let you know when that's up.
I've also added some more artwork and ad images thanks to Don.
» January 2nd, 2005I hope everyone enjoyed their holidays. I've added the first funny video of 2005 on the videos page. It's the computer freaking out and then shooting, check it out.
» December 29th, 2004The forum is now up, so feel free to post your comments, thoughts, suggestions, editing help, fun moments of NHL94, etc. Everyone have a happy new year!
» December 24th, 2004Welcome to the revamped NHL94 website for 2005. I've been busy trying to get this site rolling with a few new perks. One is the NHL94 messageboard, which should be up in a few days.
On another update, I have also scanned in the rest of the NHL94 trading cards. I know some of you have been waiting for those, so check out the tips, hints, and new features cards.
I have also updated the game editing page with some info. (mostly from Don's website) I intend to keep updating that page to make it an easy place to go for reference and "how-to's".
Once last update, check out the screenshots page, I made full rink images for Sega Genesis, Sega CD, and SNES. Happy Holidays!
» November 28th, 2004I first want to apologize for the site being down for about a week. Our previous hosting company had a serious internal problem with their servers. We're using a new hosting company now, so we hope this helps keep better uptime.
I've added a new video, though I couldn't compress it but it's still worth watching.
» November 13th, 2004Here's the recent updates as of today:
1 - Made a downloads page where you can download the music tracks to the game, and a few programs used for editing as well. Any requests are welcome.
2 - Updated the bugs page with a new bug which includes a video as well.
3 - Uploaded a new video to the videos page.
4 - I am hoping to get the game editing section started soon, and maybe in the near future a message board as well. I will keep everyone posted.
» October 8th, 2004Well, we finally broke our shot record for 10 minute periods. Our new record is now 71 shots by Detroit. Check out the screenshots page for some shots of it
» August 26th, 2004I added a new bug on the bugs page, and also a few new videos. These videos (and bug) are a "must see" because I don't think anyone has ever seen this happen before. 12 goalies came onto the ice after a game between Dallas and Buffalo. This happened to us September 29th, 2000. I was lucky enough to find this video recently, though it's not the best quality.
» August 14th, 2004I've updated the screenshots page with a few new images and to be organized by the 3 consoles (genesis, segacd, snes). I've also added a link in the multimedia section where you can download the SegaCD music tracks of NHL94. Someone emailed me asking for them, so they are now up on the site.
» July 22nd, 2004I'm going to be adding a couple of videos and screenshots within the next couple of days, so check out those pages soon. Remember, send me your NHL94 records with a screenshot or video! I've also added the Game Bugs link, check it out!
» July 7th, 2004Swos was kind enough to remind me that I didn't make a note of the fact that the NHL cardset is up and running on the site. We have all of the player cards on the site, maybe in the future we'll get the "designer tips" and "new feature" cards as well. Thanks Swos.
» May 18th, 2004There are two more images on the screenshots page, and I added the records page. That will be an on-going work-in-progress as the records come in. That page will also be more in-depth over time.
» April 27th, 2004There is a new video in the videos section of the site. It's a play that I personally love, and was recorded March 2004.
» April 26th, 2004Well I finally made a design to more of the NHL94 feel. I'm going to do my best in updating the site more often so that there's a lot more on here.
» March 4th, 2004As you can see, this site is still being worked on. I will be posting here when new parts of the site are up and running. Click here to check out a poster I scanned in from the SNES version of NHL94. This poster ad came with the original SNES version of NHL94.
There's a History page up, but that's a work in progress. Also the Message Board, Friend's NHL94 sites, the Videos, and the NHL94 Artwork links are functional from the menu above.
» February 15th, 2004Right now, all of the team logo links work above, which bring you to that team's 94 roster and ratings. The multimedia -> screenshots page is up as well, but there's only a few pics for now.
Thank you for your patience.
